West Chester Twp. Police Department Someone damaged the lining of an above ground pool in the back yard of a home in the 7400 block of Chinook Drive overnight April 18. The total estimated damage to the pool is $2,500, and there are no suspects at this time. A male and female are being sought for a theft at 7955 Tylersville Road. Reports state the female was assisted by the male in selecting more than $404 worth of items from the store between 8:20 and 8:45 p.m.

A Hamilton baby-sitter was arrested on felony theft charges last week after police said she was caught stealing from the family for whom she works. Crysta R. 20, of the block of Wellington Court, was arrested at approximately 3 p.m., April 13 for allegedly stealing more than $1,400 worth of video gaming systems, video games, money and clothes from a West Chester Twp. family between March 22 and April 12, according to reports. Someone broke into Richter Trailer Repair, 4368 Dues Drive, overnight April 14 and stole nine legs to a semi trailer and eight brake drums.
The total estimated value of the items stolen is $1,100, and there are no suspects at this time. Someone broke into a garage attached to a home in the 4500 block of Tylersville Road between April 7-17 and stole two Yamaha dirt bikes, two chainsaws and various tools. The victim, a 71-year-old woman from West Chester Twp, said she was walking to her car at approximately 9:40 p.m., April 16, when someone struck her in the back of the head with an unknown object and stole her bag, making with medication, small tools and a cell phone. The woman sustained injuries to her face, head, elbow and wrist, according to reports. The suspect is described by police as a white male, approximately 175 pounds, last seen wearing light-colored blue jeans and a black adidas jacket with white stripes. A former Hamilton pediatrician convicted of molesting three former patients and paying them in drugs and cash to keep quiet pleaded guilty Thursday, April 22, to child pornography charges. Mark Blankenburg was back before Butler County Common Pleas Judge Keith Spaeth in the same courtroom where he was convicted in October. Blankenburg pleaded guilty to one count of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance and one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. As part of a plea bargain, his sentence of 12 months on each count will be served concurrent to his current prison term. He received no new prison time.
